Permissible Radial Load
Permissible Radial Load

Depending on the type of the load, the output shaft of the motor is subjected to radial load. The permisible radial load on the motor shaft can be calculated with the following formula.

Where R = Radial Load
            p = 1, for chain
            p = 1.25 for gear
            p = 1.5-2.5 for v-belt
            kW = output of the motor in kW
            RPM = RPM of the motor
            D = diameter of the pulley / sprocket / gear in mm
            W = weight of the pulley / sprocket / gear.



If in case the radial or axial load are more than the specified in the table below, please consult “mototek” for special design for such load.
